An estimated4 million of the 18 million Bitcoin in circulation have been lost.

An estimated $4 million of the $18 million Bitcoin in circulation have been lost. This is roughly 20% of the total supply. Those Bitcoins have been lost because new investors to the crypto space have used platform or instruments that they did not fully understand. For example, you could decide to hold your Bitcoins in your own wallet and manage your “keys”, but should you lose access to them (by losing your seed phrase or password) your Bitcoin are forever lost. They are still on the Bitcoin blockchain but access to them is completely gone. Here are three tips to help you when investing in the Crypto space:

Understand how the platform on which you will store your Cryptos works and understand the Cryptos you are buying.

Only invest money you can afford to lose. Avoid borrowing to invest in Cryptos.

Invest money you do not need in the short run so that you are not forced to sell in a bear market, as Cryptos are very volatile.
